There’s Plenty to Do and See in Noosa

You’ll never run out of things to do while you’re visiting Noosa. There’s the Noosa National Park, with the beautiful hinterland, as well as endless beaches and lakes. 

If you love the outdoors, Noosa is the perfect place for you! Head out to Noosa Main Beach for a swim, surf or sunbathe. It’s the most popular beach in Noosa and it’s easy to see why with rolling waves and plenty of amenities close by. Or stroll along the coast and find the Sunshine Beach, which is a bit quieter, but just as beautiful. 

Other ways to spend the day on the water include paddleboarding on the Noosa River or Lake Cootharaba. A well-known local spot is Double Point Island, which is the perfect spot to either surf, swim, or simply relax on more secluded beaches. 

Of course, if you want the ultimate adventure, there are boat trips to go on, too. Between July and October, you can join one of the many whale spotting trips to see Humpback Whales on their annual migration. 

And, if you would rather explore by land than sea, head to the Noosa National Park. There are plenty of easy to moderate walking tracks here, like the Coastal Track for example. There’s also the Cooloola Walk, which is from Noosa North Shore to Rainbow Beach. If you’re visiting in warm weather, there’s also plenty of spots to go for a swim while you’re here.

The Noosa Everglades are also immensely popular amongst tourists and locals alike. It’s the perfect way to spend a slightly different day, with kayaking tours operating daily across the calm waters. The Noosa Everglades consists of over 60 kilometres of rivers and lakes, and it is one of only two everglade environments in the world. Enjoy the immense biodiversity on offer: it’s under lots of different protective arrangements, like the Noosa UNESCO Biosphere and the Great Sandy National Park.
